Monroe Center, OH (July 31, 2026) By Marc Hoegerl: Mother Nature has become a good friend of Raceway 7 as the Ashtabula County, Ohio speed plant would record night #7 of the season in the record books with another Adrenaline-fueled night of racing.

Dave Hess Jr. would go flag-to-flag in the Dave Levesque Memorial featuring the Evergreen Lake Park Campground RUSH Crate Late Models. Hess would keep just enough distance between himself and runner-up Kyle Zimmerman to pocket the $1,500 paycheck in the 25 lap headliner. This would also be Hess’s first ever win in a Crate Late at Raceway 7. Rounding out your top 5 behind the Waterford, PA native would be, Zimmerman, Jeff Watson, Ben Easler, and Cory Sines.

Doing double duty on the night, Dave Hess Jr. would hold off a determined Joel Watson on a late race restart to score his first Raceway 7 Campbell’s Mini Storage UMP Modified feature win of the season, as well as his 20th career win in the class at the Monroe Township oval. Watson would bring home 2nd, Dustin DeMattia who battled Watson most of the race was 3rd, Bud Watson in his first Raceway 7 appearance of the season was 4th, and Charlie Steinle in his best run to date was 5th.

Erie’s Zack Eller would only need one lap to bring home victory in thrilling Raceway 7’ Lakeview Ford Econo Mod feature. Eller would overtake race long leader Jake Eucker going down the backstretch as the two headed to the checkered flag to score his 4th Raceway 7 Lakeview Ford Econo Mod feature win of 2026. Previous week’s winner Eucker would have to settle for 2nd, points leader going into the night Garrett Calvert was 3rd, 9th place starter Jonathan Davis was 4th, and Dennis Dellinger with a solid run was 5th.

Branden Porter after coming from the tail looked like a sure winner in the 21st Century Energy Crown Vics, but would slow going down the backstretch on the final lap giving previous winner Steve Hull enough moment to get by Porter to score his second Raceway 7 21st Century Energy Crown Vic feature accolade of the season. Following Hull across the stripe would be Porter, Chris Brockway, Robert Siegel, and 21st place starter Bill Fuchs.
