Bedell, Stebbins, Scott, Earle Jr., Withers, Baker Jr., and Huffman secure feature victories as track champions are officially crowned.

BUSTI, N.Y. — A massive crowd and a jam-packed pit area featuring 121 cars set the stage for a spectacular early September evening at Stateline Speedway. With zero division titles officially clinched entering the regular-season finale, the double-points Championship Night delivered high-stakes drama and relentless action across all seven weekly divisions.

Super Late Models Kyle Bedell masterfully rim-rode the Busti oval to secure the Super Late Model feature victory. A highly technical track surface caught out Justin Carlson mid-race, as the top cushion caused his machine to flip, bringing out the red flag. When racing resumed, points leader Darrell Bossard found himself watching Greg Oakes run away with the race lead and potentially the championship. However, Bedell found massive speed on the high side, powering past Oakes in the closing stages to take the win. Bossard hit his marks to finish just one spot behind Oakes, mathematically securing the track championship.

RUSH Late Models Jeremy Wonderling attempted to play the role of “Heartbreak Kid” on a late-race restart, but Kurt Stebbins held strong in a one-lap shootout to claim the feature win. Stebbins dominated the first 19 laps of intense RUSH Late Model action, driving away from the field and only contending with lapped traffic until a late caution erased his advantage. On the restart, Wonderling mounted a fierce high-side challenge but ultimately crossed the line as a close runner-up to Stebbins.

In the championship fight, veteran Randy Hall entered the night as the points leader but faded to a seventh-place finish. Capitalizing on the opportunity, Jake Wilber secured enough points to officially celebrate his second regional track championship of the year.

UMP Modifieds Wyatt Scott and Andrew Hammond thrilled the Stateline crowd, putting on a passing clinic in their Afflixtion Race Cars. Scott carved through the field for a massive 14-position gain, ultimately parking his machine in victory lane. Further back, Greg Johnson successfully logged the necessary laps and secured a solid finish to officially seal the UMP Modified track championship.

RUSH Pro Mods Victor Earle Jr. delivered a dominant, clutch performance to sweep both the feature victory and the track championship. Earle Jr. controlled the race from the front, while points rival Al Brewer crossed the line in fourth. The result allowed Earle Jr. to celebrate his first-ever Stateline Speedway track championship in victory lane.

Pro Stocks Chris Withers returned to victory lane in the Pro Stock division, surviving heavy pressure from Brent Marrotto and Jason Covey. Marrotto managed to erase Withers’ lead multiple times throughout the feature but could not execute the winning pass, allowing Withers to secure the checkered flag. By maintaining his track position over John Boardman, Covey successfully wrapped up the Pro Stock points championship.

RUSH Stock Cars William Baker Jr.’s sheer dominance over the RUSH Stock Car division continued on Championship Night. Baker picked up another feature victory, continuing a streak that has made it a rarity for him not to win at the Busti oval this season. Behind him, Cole Strickland successfully held off Alex Bush to protect his points advantage and secure the division championship.

Challengers In the evening’s nightcap, Billi Jo Huffman secured a popular victory, capturing her first-ever Stateline Speedway feature win after years of competition in the Challenger ranks. Huffman successfully held off multiple challenges and navigated long yellow-flag delays to claim the milestone win. Holden Heineman crossed the line as the runner-up, easily securing the points necessary to officially wrap up his dominant championship campaign.

Upcoming Schedule Stateline Speedway returns to action on September 11 and 12 for the massive “Fall Brawl,” featuring two full days of racing across all favorite local divisions. Fans are encouraged to check Stateline Speedway’s social media channels for the most recent updates and start times.
