\A record of no repeat winners sets the stage as the series supports the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints.

After a two-year absence, the Woah Nellie Modified Series is set to return to the tricky D-shaped oval of Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday, August 28. The original home of the “Woah Nellie 25” will host the regional tour as the premier support division for the winged sprint cars of the All Star Circuit of Champions.

A History of Parity In three previous series visits to the speedway, the tour has yet to see a repeat winner. The Freedom winner’s list reads like a who’s who of regional UMP Modified racing, featuring Rich Michael Jr., Wyatt Scott, and inaugural Woah Nellie race winner Dave Hess Jr. However, despite being kept out of victory lane, it is Greg Johnson who boasts the best average finish across all three events with a stellar 3.0, closely followed by “Money” Mike McGee with an average finish of 3.6.

Hunting for a First Win Several Woah Nellie Series regulars who have already scored victories throughout the region this year will be hunting for their first career wins at the tricky Delevan oval. Current points leader Mason Lobb, Andrew Hammond, and local standout Andrew Beatman will all be looking to conquer the track and add their names to the prestigious winner’s list.

The Championship Grind The Freedom Motorsports Park event officially kicks off a grueling championship grind, setting up a demanding four-race swing over the next five weeks. Following Friday’s event, the series will tackle the following schedule to close out the 2026 campaign:

• September 6: Bradford Speedway
• September 11–12: Stateline Speedway (Two-Day Event)
• September 26: Mercer (Championship Finale)

The Points Battle The championship title fight is fiercely contested heading into this critical stretch. Mason Lobb currently maintains a razor-thin margin over Wyatt Scott and Andrew Hammond. With the series’ first “drop race” rule coming into effect following the Freedom event, the true points standings will begin to crystalize as the season hurtles toward its dramatic conclusion.
