PORT ROYAL SPEEDWAY FORCED TO CANCEL SATURDAY’S RACING PROGRAM DUE TO WEATHER

Port Royal, Pa. — Port Royal Speedway officials have been forced to cancel the racing program scheduled for Saturday, July 18, due to weather conditions.

The speedway received rain early Saturday morning, and additional rainfall is forecasted throughout the remainder of the day directly over the Port Royal area. With the track and facility already impacted by the morning precipitation and little opportunity for conditions to improve before and during race time, officials decided that cancellation was the only reasonable option for the day.

Port Royal Speedway understands the disappointment that comes with another canceled event and wants fans, competitors and teams to know that every possible effort is made to complete each scheduled program.

The speedway wants to race just as much as the competitors and fans want to see racing at The Speed Palace. Unfortunately, Saturday’s cancellation is now the 12th weather-related cancellation of the 2026 season through the first 21 scheduled race dates.

It has been an exceptionally challenging season for everyone involved, and speedway officials greatly appreciate the continued patience and support of the fans, race teams, partners, employees and volunteers who have remained committed to Port Royal Speedway throughout the difficult weather conditions.

The Speed Palace will be back in competition next weekend with the rescheduled Bob Weikert Memorial Weekend with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing taking place on July 25th and 26th.
