Hudson and Exley New Hidden Valley winners; Fields takes Pure Stock special
For Immediate Release June 12, 2026

Clearfield, PA – Josh Fields of Brockport picked up the Pure Stock special Friday night at Hidden Valley Speedway while BJ Hudson of Clearfield and Isaac Exley of Woodland became the newest winners on the season in the Semi Late and Four Cylinder features respectively.

Repeat winners included: Craig Casher of Mineral Springs in the Small Block Modifieds and Brandon Connor of Penfield in the Penn-Ohio Pro Stocks.

Tyler Rougeux and BJ Hudson led the Semi Late field to the start, with Hudson shooting into the lead and setting the pace. Rougeux dropped to second and he had Tom Vilello, Craig Bainey, Gary Little and Brad Benton all chasing him and trying to steal second. On a lap two restart, Vilello and Bainey were able to scoot around the 96R and set their sights on the leader. Little and Benton were waging their own war, swapping positions often. While Hudson was setting the pace, Vilello was in second, hoping for a bobble from the leader, but the bobble came from Jeremy Lippert, who got out of shape in turn four only to be collected by Ron Laubscher. Lippert was evaluated by Moshannon Valley EMS personnel and driven back to his pit. The driver said he was ok and did not need a trip to the hospital. The restart, with just two laps to go saw Hudson hold off Vilello, Rougeux, Benton and Little for the win. Heat wins went to Rougeux and Dylan Fenton.

The Small Block Modifieds were led to the start with Tom Priciotta and Kyle Holden on the front row, with Priciotta taking the lead at the drop of Sam McClellan’s green flag. He was keeping Holden at bay when K. Holden spun in turn two, slowing the action. On the lap three restart Priciotta was still leading, but he bobbled in turn two, allowing Craig Casher to shoot under him off the second turn, and Casher never looked back. Casher was able to open a nice lead over the rest of the field as he took his second straight win of the season. Jimmy Holden came in second, Priciotta was third, Shannon Casher was fourth and Hayden Holden was fifth. Craig Casher won the heat.

Brandon Connor and Jim Bloom filled the front row of the Penn Ohio Pro Stock field, with Connor taking the lead with Bloom in second and Mitch Stiles in third. The non-stop event would not see any of the top three spots change the rest of the race as Connor went on to get his third win of the season. Nathan Brady and Fuzzy Fields completed the field. Connor also won the heat.

The Pure Stocks were in the spotlight this week, with Josh Fields and Eric Lucas on the front row. At the drop of the green flag it was Fields who took the lead and Lucas was a close second and Luke Vrana was third. A series of cautions slowed the race on lap three, one of which was for Vrana. The race finally got going again with Fields still leading the way and Lucas in second, and third was John Weaver. On lap 14, Lucas pulled to the side, and slowly coasted into the pits with rear end issues, handing second over to Weaver with Caleb Bloom in third. With Lucas in the pits, Fields had a nice lead, but late in the race, he spun in turn two, went through the infield and still held the lead. The rest of the field drew closer to the leader, but he was able to hold on for the win. Weaver, Bloom, Ron Majewsky and Parker Hemphill completed the top five. Fields and Lucas won the preliminaries.

The Four Cylinder feature was a humdinger from the start of McClellan’s green flag as Isaac Exley and Brett Hanley brought the field to the start, with Hanley taking the lead for the first lap, when third place starter Zack Frantz, subbing for Blake Little, took the lead. Frantz led for the next several laps, with Exley in second and Allen Robison in third, then on lap six, Robison took second from Exley, who was fighting back, then as Robison and Frantz were jockeying for the lead, Robison made contact with Frantz, causing a caution. This put Robison to the rear and Exley back in second behind Frantz. On the restart, Frantz lost power, and this put Exley in the lead. Once out front, Exley never looked, as he pulled away by a few car lengths over Hanley. When McClellan threw the double checkered flags, it was Exley getting his first career Hidden Valley Feature win, Hanley was second with Greg Snell, Greg Kiehl and “Wild” Bill Hassenplug completing the top five. Exley and Hanley won the heats.
