Update to the status of all racing activity at the track in complete transparency:
Our insurance policy was set to expire on 6/3/2026, our renewal paperwork was sent in on 4/6/2026. We were not contacted until 5/27/2026 stating they needed updated pictures of the facility. The pictures were submitted 6/1/2026 and then as you know, we were contacted last Friday 6/5/2026 just hours before our scheduled race to let us know there was an issue. Emails and phone calls have been going back and forth between us and our insurance broker since then. This week we were able to get to the bottom of what the issue is. We have open claims from last year. Both from incidents that occurred during our stock car races. One was involving a spectator and the bleachers, the other one was a driver that flipped his car and refused treatment at the track but then later sought out medical treatment and filed a claim. Those are the reason that the underwriter is holding up on the renewal. So what we have been working on for you folks that do not know, there is less than a handful that underwrite Motorsports insurance across the country. We are currently in the quoting stage with two other companies. Unfortunately neither company can help us in time for this weekends scheduled events. So both events (Friday- motocross & Saturday- stock cars) are canceled. We are in the process of replacing all of the wooden bleacher boards with aluminum (this HAS to be done for the insurance company due to the open claim) boards. We will be there on Saturday starting at 7 am working on getting the bleachers completed if anyone would be interested & willing to donate their time helping. We would greatly appreciate it. We also appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through these issues. Racing without insurance is just not an option and I’m sure you can all understand why. That’s a risk that can’t be taken. The comments have been turned off as the only comments that the keyboard jockey warriors like to leave are very unproductive, not helpful and certainly not appreciated. We will have the insurance back in place for next weekends scheduled events and we look forward to getting back and seeing all of you then. Thank you. We hope everyone has a great weekend.
