5th annual Western Pa sprint speedweek set to kickoff at Michaels Mercer raceway park

The 5th annual Schaeffer’s Specialized Lubricants western Pa sprint speedweek presented by J.S. Bova excavating is set to kickoff Wednesday night May 27 at the historic Michaels Mercer raceway presented by Sunbelt rentals and Erme’s distributing which will be the 75TH anniversary season opener. The event will pay $5,000 to win thanks to an extra $1500 from Mercer mercantile and $300 to start.

The Top shelf trucking DIRT 602 crate sportsman modifieds and the Hovis auto and truck supply RUSH non wing sprints will also be in competition. Raceivers are mandatory and both the westhold and the AMB-IT transponders can be used.

Hopefully, the fourth time will be a charm as Mercer has not been able to complete a speed week show since the reincarnation because of weather.

Pits will open at 4 pm
Grandstands open at 5 pm.
No one will will be permitted inside the gates until they open at 5 o’clock. Please get there early to get your best seat as no seats will be reserved.

ADMISSION PRICES:

General Admission Adults — $20
Seniors — $18
Family Pass — $35 (2 adults & up to 3 kids 16 & under)
Pit Pass — $35

The Michaels Mercer Raceway Park Kids Club, sponsored by Mercer Dairy Queen, has a fun night planned!
Kids will get to design their very own race flag!
One lucky winner will help start a race by waving the green flag! Another lucky winner will get a ride in the new pace truck!

Qualifying for the sprints will be at 6:15 and racing to follow.

Concessions will be open but outside food and drink are permitted inside. Coolers must fit between the bleachers with no glass. Alcohol is permitted. Lawn chair seating is permitted in the grassy area by the fence. We are a cash or credit card facility at all ticket booths and concessions.

Camping is permitted at no charge with No hook ups available. Please park your campers along the tree line by the pits and also behind the grandstand as well. Please park perpendicular to the tree line to allow as many campers as possible.

The Quality inn and suites located in Grove city Pa near the outlet mall is the official hotel of Michaels Mercer raceway park. They are located at 2049 Leesburg Grove City Road, Mercer, PA. Please call 724.300.3002 and ask for the Mercer raceway rate.
