With new owners in Earl and Michelle michaels and a new attitude, Michaels Mercer raceway presented by Sunbelt rentals and Erme’s distributing is ready to try for the third time to kick off the historic 75th anniversary season by having the first point night for the regular three divisions the Top shelf trucking DIRT crate 602 sportsman modifieds, the Mercer mercantile IMCA 305 racesaver sprints, the SCDRA sanctioned King Forest products mini stocks.
It is also $5 Butler county night as anybody with valid drivers license or state ID living in Butler County, Pa will be admitted for five dollars..
Also it will be the first of many bike races for the kids for the season as they will race on the front straightaway at intermission helmets are required by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Being this is the weekend of Mother’s Day all ladies young and old are asked to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.
Pit Gates will open at 4 PM grandstands opening at 5 PM hot laps at 6:15 and racing at 7 PM.

The revamped kids club activities will be from 5-6pm. This week the kids will be making slime with the help of Slime City B, an Instagram Sensation! There will be doing a drawing for free slime!

The Bike races also sponsored by the kids club … winners will receive prizes from DQ and Mercer mercantile
A reminder, all drivers competing must pay the division registration fee at the pit gate where they sign in at for a pit pass. The yellow and the red AMBIT transponders can both be used now at the speedway. All cars must have a transponder with rentals available at the track… raceivers are mandatory default channel 454.000.
More red clay has been put down over the winter which has produced exciting two and three wide racing, utilizing the entire speedway from top to bottom.
The Mercer mercantile IMCA racesaver 305 sprint cars should have a good field on Saturday as drivers are putting their finishing touches on the cars and many rookie drivers are expected to make their debut.
The DIRT 602 crate sportsman modified class sponsored by Top Shelf trucking should have another great field of cars as all local crate modified are permitted to compete. With Mercer being the only track to run the 602 dirt crate sportsman weekly an extremely large field of cars are expected each Saturday night.
The SCDRA mini stocks sponsored by King Forest products will be able to compete for a national championship and point money running weekly at Mercer.
