DELEVAN, N.Y. — Freedom Motorsports Park is officially changing hands. Bob Reiss, the 12-year owner of the dirt track, has entered into a purchase agreement with Jason Bonsignore, the current owner of Action Park East and Champion Speedway in Owego, N.Y.

In addition to the speedway, Bonsignore purchased the adjacent property behind the track. He plans to utilize the land to bring back speedway motorcycle racing, construct a new motocross facility, and develop a future hare scramble course.

Transition and Facility Upgrades

Ongoing facility upgrades will proceed as scheduled. This includes the installation of a new grandstand in Turn 1, which recently finished the disassembly phase and will be relocated this week.

Reiss will remain on staff to assist with the ownership transition and help manage the stock car events scheduled for this season.

During his 12 years at the helm, Reiss oversaw Freedom’s evolution from weekly racing to a specials-only format. He was instrumental in bringing some of the sport’s biggest stars to the facility and successfully securing dates for premier touring series, including the All Star Circuit of Champions.

2026 Event Schedule

Freedom Motorsports Park will host three major event nights for the 2026 season:

  • Friday, June 12: The season kicks off with the Empire Super Sprints racing for a $5,000 top prize in the Julia Horton Memorial. They will be joined by the RUSH Late Models competing in the Mike DuClon Memorial, which pays $2,058 to win.
  • Friday, July 17: Super late models take center stage for the ninth annual Pete Loretto Memorial presented by Briggs Transport, featuring a $5,000-to-win main event.
  • Friday, Aug. 28: The All Star Circuit of Champions 410 sprint cars return to the speedway for a $7,500-to-win feature. The Woah Nellie Modifieds will also be on the card, racing for a $1,500 payday.
