YORK HAVEN, Pa.: There has been an increased emphasis put on running efficient shows by both fans and the competitors in the pit area.

Attention spans are shorter nowadays, and as for the drivers and teams, they want to get to the car wash quicker and get home to their families. So, BAPS Motor Speedway has come up with something to accommodate both groups.

General Manager Kolten Gouse and his team have come up with a promotion for the July 25th program, which will feature Super Sportsman, 358 Late Models, and Limited Stocks. The program starts at 7 p.m. and if the third and final feature isn’t completed by 9 p.m., every fan in the grandstand will get their money back in the form of a race voucher for the next event.

“People just have more going on in their lives, and this is a way to provide good entertainment in a timely fashion,” Gouse said. “It also puts the pressure on us to follow through with a speedy and efficient program.

“We are always looking for ways to streamline our events and make them fan friendly. This isn’t something we can do all the time, but we thought it would be a fun promotion and something that would add a little intrigue and interaction to one of our summer programs.”

Heat races will start at 7 p.m. Officials then have two hours to get the entire program complete. If they fall short, vouchers will be handed out for the next racing event at the speedway.

“If we are done in two hours, it’s good for fans,” Gouse said. “If we aren’t, it’s still good for them, as well. Call it a win-win for everybody involved.”

Tickets for this event can be purchased online at www.bapsmotorspeedway.com, the speedway office or fans can purchase tickets by the main general admission ticket windows.

Features not done by 9pm- Fans will need to use the special wristband over the next 3 weeks at the speedway. Wristband is not valid for an upgrade of any kind as well not good for 410 sprint car shows and wristband cannot be used for a refund for a dollar amount.
