West Virginia Motor Speedway is excited to announce a significant expansion of on-site camping ahead of the highly anticipated return of the Dirt Track World Championship, the crown jewel finale of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. To meet the overwhelming demand surrounding the $100,000 to win weekend and the LoLMDS debut on the new shortened speedway, track officals have added 350 more camping spaces for 2026.

This expansion includes a large increase to the popular Creekside Camping area, now offering even more reserved spots and the introduction of an all-new Backfield Camping section. These additions provide fans with more options and price points as excitement continues to build for one of dirt racing’s most iconic events.

Camping for the Dirt Track World Championship has been one of the hottest commodities of the offseason with over 400 sold sites through the first week and this expansion reflects the growing anticipation surrounding WVMS’s return to national spotlight. Fans are urged to secure their camping passes as soon as possible. The added spots will also be available for June 12th & 13th’s World of Outlaw “RaceFest” return.

Fans who have already purchased Pitside Camping and wish to transfer their reservation to one of the newly added areas may do so by contacting WVMS directly. Transfer requests can be made via email at visitwvms@gmail.com or by calling 304-771-5051. Any difference in price between the originally selected space and the new reservation will apply.

“We’ve seen incredible interest since announcing the Dirt Track World Championship camping, with many spots selling out in minutes,” said WVMS officials. “Adding this many new camping spaces was essential to meet fan demand, and we’re thrilled to give attendees more flexibility to enjoy the event.” stated WVMS. “When these are gone any new spots made available will be at a higher rate and further from the speedway” added officials. “Our team is happy to assist anyone who would like to request a transfer into one of the new areas. Any transfer must be done by Dec. 6th and is a one time opportunity.”

With the expanded camping inventory now available and excitement rising for Carl Short’s 46th running of the Dirt Track World Championship fans are encouraged to lock in their spot and grab their tickets today to be part of the historic weekend at West Virginia Motor Speedway.
