JEREMY WONDERLING SWEEPS THE NIGHT AT BRADFORD FOR $5200 IN HOVIS RUSH LATE MODELS AS HIS MILESTONE 30TH CAREER FLYNN’S TIRE/GUNTER’S HONEY TOURING SERIES VICTORY COMES IN “MIKE REED MEMORIAL”

September 28, 2025 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Bradford, PA)…After more than a two-year absence, the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply RUSH Dirt Late Model Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series returned to the quarter-mile Bradford Speedway bulling on Sunday evening to complete the “Mike Reed Memorial”. The event was initially started on July 13, but rain washed out the feature as the cars were set to take the green flag. The feature was rescheduled for August 17, but Mother Nature once again claimed that event. Race #15 of the 2025 season was finally completed on a beautiful, warm Sunday evening along with a complete new City Chevrolet Weekly Series program.
Jeremy Wonderling swept the program for the RUSH Late Models earning more than $5,200! Wonderling opened the night winning the $4,000 “Mike Reed Memorial” make-up feature for his milestone 30th career Flynn’s Tire Gunter’s Honey Touring Series victory then followed it up by winning the $1,200 City Chevrolet Weekly Series nightcap. Victories number eight and nine on the season keeps Wonderling atop both the Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series and City Chevrolet National Weekly Series standings, which would mean a record $25,000 yearend payoff!
“Tonight means a lot for the points even though I try not to think about it too much as it is what it is,” explained the 45-year-old Wellsville, NY driver. “The Mike Reed race always means a lot to me. When I was growing up he raced with my dad so I’ve known Cheryl and everyone in their family for a long time. It’s always a big one on the list when we come here and being a Tour race is a big deal.”
Jake Wilber and Austin Hauser led the field to green for the 30-lap feature with Hauser using the outside to power into the early lead. Wonderling pressured Wilber before making the outside pass on Bradford’s track champion on lap five. Following a caution for Dusty Waters, Wilber snuck back by Wonderling for second when green replaced yellow on lap eight. A pair of cautions with eight laps scored were the last stoppages of the event as the final 22 laps went green-to-checkered.
When racing resumed on lap nine, Wonderling overtook Wilber for the second spot for good. Wonderling went after Hauser and the two battled hard racing side-by-side trading the high and low lines as Hauser maintained the lead. After pressuring Hauser for nine laps, Wonderling finally was able to clear Hauser in turns three and four with the winning move coming on the 19th circuit.
As the laps ticked nary a caution, Wonderling pulled away from the pack by lap 22; meanwhile, Hauser had his hands full with Wilber and Mike Wonderling. Bryce Davis, who won the first ever RUSH Tour event at Bradford in 2017, joined the battle on lap 25 making it a four-car race for the runner-up spot. Wonderling continued to pull away as the laps clicked off and when he took the checkered flag he had a huge margin of 5.356 seconds.
“It’s really hard the way the race track is,” stated Wonderling. “The guy in the lead is blocking and doing everything he can going top-to-bottom; only thing you can do is get a run to pull alongside and muscle on by. It’s happened to me a million times and I’m sure it’ll happen to everyone else.”
Wonderling has now reached the Landrum Performance Springs Victory Lane with the Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series four times in 2025, which have all come in the last nine events aboard his Close Racing Supply/Cummings Trucking/Shuttleworth Auto Sales/955 Automotive/Penske Shocks by JDS/Swift Springs-sponsored #3J. Wonderling now trails the Tour’s all-time winner, Max Blair, by just five victories.
After leading the first 18 laps, Hauser held on for second to earn $2,000 for his career best Tour finish, which eclipsed his first career podium finish in third on May 25 at Tri-City Raceway Park. “I tried everything I could and probably a little more than I wanted to,” acknowledged the 28-year-old Grand Island, NY driver. “Jeremy (Wonderling) owns this place. I apologize to Jake (Wilber) and Terry (Suppa/car owner). I got into him off (turn) two- I didn’t hear him. It’s good since we blew an engine. This helps for points and will help pay for the rebuild and keep us going down the road.”
Wilber also turned in his career best Tour finish in third for $1,000 beating out his prior best fourth from July 20, 2024 at Stateline Speedway in the “Bill Law Memorial”. All three podium teams received a three-pack of premium Heritage Wine Cellars product. “This is by the far the best I’ve run with these guys so I can’t complain,” expressed the 25-year-old Hinsdale, NY racer. “There were a couple times when Hauser and Wonderling were going at it, I was thinking that this may go in my favor, but it didn’t.”
Sixth starting Davis passed Mike Wonderling on the last lap for fourth. Mike Wonderling was fifth for his best Tour finish since August 7, 2024 at Woodhull Raceway. 3C Graphix rookie-of-the-year candidate, Zack Carley, was sixth after starting eighth for his ninth top 10 of the season. Austin Allen was seventh. Pennsylvania’s Daryl Charlier was the first non-New York resident in eighth, and also received a spoiler kit from Ontime Body & Graphic. Jason Knowles was ninth as Tour rookie Bill Holmes III rounded out the top 10 for his fourth top 10 of the season. Jacob Tubbs gained five positions to finish 12th and received a $50 Precise Racing Products gift card for being the “Pedal Down” Hard Charger.
Hauser set fast time in FK Rod Ends “Shock the Clock” Qualifying back on July 13 with a lap of 16.444 to earn $100. Winning the $25 FK Rod Ends heat races were Hauser, Jeremy Wonderling, and Bryce Davis. Wilber won his first career Sunoco Dash and earned a $100 Sunoco fuel card. Winning the $100 Sunoco Fuel cards part of the “Fill’er up with Sunoco Bucks presented by Bazell Race Fuels were Hauser and Mike Wonderling, while the $50 fuels cards went to Davis, Ian Travis, Brady Wonderling, and John Waters.
Landrum Performance Springs, which will award the $5,000 Loyalty Bonus to an eligible Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series regular at the season ending event, distributed BOGO certificates on Sunday night, which were captured by Carley, Jason Dobson, Knowles, Demetrios Drellos, and Jeremy Wonderling.
The Flynn’s Tire/Gunter’s Honey Touring Series will return to action this Friday and Saturday (October 3-4) at Pittsburgh PA Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pa. for the “Bill Hendren Memorial” part of the “Pittsburgher” with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
