Bradford Speedway hosted one of its most anticipated nights in recent memory as the track started a brand-new tradition with the inaugural King of the Ring presented by Close Racing Supply. On a crisp Sunday evening, fans were treated to the return of divisions not seen at the bullring in years—Super Late Models, Open Modifieds, Pro Stocks—and the much-anticipated debut of the RUSH Stock Cars, alongside the Fan Favorite SCDRA Mini Stocks.

The spotlight belonged to Jon Lee, who made his first-ever trip to Bradford Speedway a flawless one. From hot laps to qualifying to his heat race and finally the feature, Lee was untouchable but wasn’t without pressure. Local great Greg Oakes and seasoned competitor Ryan Montgomery kept the pressure on, with Garrett Mott impressing once again in his RUSH Late Model by finishing fourth overall against the bigger motors.

The night also marked a milestone with the first-ever Woah Nellie Modified event at Bradford. Wyatt Scott added another chapter to his growing resume, outdueling Steve Dixon on Dixon’s home turf and holding off a late charge from father-son duo Zach and Greg Johnson of Busti, N.Y. The win was Scott’s fourth career Woah Nellie Modified victory, his first Woah Nellie 25 title, and remarkably, the third different division he has now won in at Bradford Speedway.

In Pro Stock action, Kyle Couchenour was nothing short of dominant. After seizing control on the opening lap over Dean Gibson Jr., Couchenour never looked back, sweeping every session on his way to an $800 payday in the division’s return to the bullring.

A homecoming moment came with the debut of the RUSH Stock Cars, where former Kids Class champion Raiddan Wilson made his return to Bradford in storybook fashion by scoring the first-ever Stock Car feature win in track history.

Closing out the program, Logan Ganoung once again proved his dominance of the bullring, driving a flawless race to collect yet another Mini Stock victory and cap off the inaugural King of the Ring.

Next up for Bradford Speedway: Championship Recognition Night on September 28!
