BRADFORD, Pa.
A brisk September evening brought the curtain down on the 2025 points season at Bradford Speedway, capping the first year under the Isadore family. Six divisions took center stage in the finale, but the spotlight also shined on the highly anticipated return of flat karts to the quarter-mile bullring.
The karting action kicked off the night with fireworks of its own. The 375 Clone feature delivered one of the wildest finishes of the year, going three and four-wide at the stripe before Trent Smith emerged in a razor-thin photo finish. Kori Froman, a standout from Stateline Karts, dominated the Purple Clone division, while Jackson Smith charged to victory in the Blue Clone class. In the 375 Senior Predator, heartbreak struck race leader Nolan Groves with mechanical failure, handing the win to Ethan Lewis.
The headlining moment for the big cars came in the Sharp Mini Late Models, where history was made as Brad Mesler was crowned the first-ever King of the Mini Late Models. Running a special format with qualifying, a King of the Hill, and the feature, Mesler used his front row spot to perfection, pulling away and never looking back en route to the inaugural crown. Mesler has swept both Mini Late Model specials on the year at Bradford Speedway!
The RUSH Late Models provided a storyline of a heartbreaker for one driver and a career defining moment for the other. Kurt Stebbins, needing to finish ahead of Jacob Wilber to clinch the track championship, looked well on his way before mechanical gremlins struck again — echoing his engine failure at Freedom Motorsports Park just two nights earlier. Driving Jeremy Wonderling’s 3J due to those failures, Stebbins was leading comfortably when disaster ended his night. That opened the door for Brady Wonderling to claim the feature and Jacob Wilber to secure the 2025 championship.
The Pure Stocks delivered another instant classic. After stalking Zach Hamer much of the race, Joe Skinner and Tyler Rendell pounced late, racing side-by-side to the finish. Skinner barely held off Rendell by a mere .037 seconds, according to the transponders.
Meanwhile, Skinner’s son Jake Skinner added another victory of his own in the Kids Mini Stocks, closing his championship season in style.
In the RUSH Pro Mod/Econo Mods, veteran Al Brewer returned to victory lane, fending off a determined charge from Dave Shagla. Despite showing Brewer the nose late, Shagla couldn’t complete the move as Brewer capped his strong 2025 campaign with another win.
The SCDRA Mini Stocks closed their points season with a thriller, as Logan Ganoung held off Dennis Harrison and Brett Hanley in a tight 20-lap main event. Regulars from Stateline and Eriez,Noah Zimmerman and Adam Brisky, also impressed before Brisky’s early exit while both cars were running in the top 10.
Up next at Bradford Speedway: The King of the Bullring, headlined by the $4,000-to-win CRS Super Late Models, the $1,500-to-win Woah Nellie 25 for the Modifieds, plus Affliction Pro Stocks ($800 to win), RUSH Stock Cars, and SCDRA Mini Stocks. The show rolls Sunday, September 14th.
