A hot summer evening set the stage at Bradford Speedway for the inaugural Ron Wilcox Memorial — a race originally postponed two weeks ago due to Mother Nature’s wrath. The $1,500-to-win SCDRA Mini Stocks showdown drew a stacked field of talent, each chasing both the purse and the prestige of winning the first-ever running.

From his fourth starting spot, Logan Ganoung charged to victory in the feature event. Fastest in Group A qualifying, Ganoung advanced two positions in the dash to secure that fourth-place starting spot. Once the green flag waved, he quickly battled past Brett Hanley before fending off hard-charging regulars DJ Williams and Allen Robison late in the race. The pressure broke on the final lap when contact between Williams and Robison dropped them to eighth and ninth, sealing Ganoung’s path to the checkered flag. Jake Sirline and Ryan Burke earned co-hard charger honors with nine positions gained apiece.

In Pure Stock action, Anthony Schoonover showed veteran savvy in traffic, slipping past Zach Hamer to grab a thrilling win.

Braden Davis held off Jake Skinner in the Kids Mini Stock division to capture the feature victory.

Steve Dixon returned to Bradford Speedway in dominant fashion, powering past Ian Degolier early and never looking back to win the RUSH Pro Mod feature.

In Sharp Mini Late Models, Travis Asel capitalized on a late mistake by Jesse Isadore to take the lead and the win, moving himself into fourth place in the division’s points standings.

Next up! Next week brings the thrilling conclusion of the Mike Reed Memorial, featuring the makeup feature from the RUSH Tour Series race.
