BUSTI, N.Y. — A hot Thursday night in Busti set the stage for a new tradition at the legendary Stateline Speedway. With four divisions on the card—three making their first-ever appearance—the evening was packed with fresh action, new faces, and plenty of thrills for the Stateline faithful.

Woah Nellie Modifieds Break Entry Record in Debut

Headlining the night were the Woah Nellie Modifieds, making their long-anticipated debut at Stateline. The series shattered its all-time car count record with 31 Modifieds in the pits, surpassing the previous mark of 26.

Dave Hess Jr. claimed his second career Woah Nellie Modified win, dominating the 25-lap main event despite consistent pressure from a trio of Johnsons—Troy, Greg, and Zach—who each posted faster lap times at points during the feature. Hess, however, held firm out front to secure the win in the biggest Woah Nellie Modifieds event in history.

Several competitors delivered impressive drives through the field. CJ Ramsey gained 10 spots, while Jimmy Diabo and Eric Reinwald each advanced 12 positions. The hard charger of the night was Butch Southwell, who stormed from 2nd-to-last to finish 9th—a +14 effort.

Econo-Mod Mania Brings the Heat

The Econo-Mod Mania Tour, promoted by Alex Sullivan, served as the co-headliner and brought 17 strong to the track. The feature was a thriller between Dennis Lunger Jr. and Steve Haefke Jr., who traded the lead multiple times throughout. Ultimately, Lunger Jr. prevailed, returning to Stateline’s victory lane first the first time since his health scare with a hard-earned win.

RUSH Sportsman Modifieds Make Their Debut

The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds also made their first appearance at Stateline and put on a strong showing. Division standout Chas Wolbert continued his dominant season, pulling away from the field to score the win in convincing fashion.

SCDRA Mini Stocks Shine in First Appearance

The SCDRA Mini Stocks took to Stateline Speedway for the first time, pitting regional talent against local Challenger regulars in a crossover event. Trever Putt dominated the 15-lap feature, launching from the outside front row and never looking back. His lap times averaged nearly seven-tenths quicker than runner-up Brad Whiteside, as the Bradford Speedway and McKean County Raceway standout flexed his muscle in impressive fashion.

Annaleesa Diabo earned the crowd’s admiration with a remarkable drive from the tail of the field to a sixth-place finish, gaining 14 positions in the process to highlight a solid showing from the Challengers of Stateline!

UP NEXT AT STATELINE SPEEDWAY

After a weather-related cancellation this Saturday, the next event on the calendar is the Challenger Special, paying $2,000 to win on Saturday, Aug. 2.

UP NEXT FOR THE WOAH NELLIE MODIFIEDS

The series heads to Bradford Speedway for the Woah Nellie 25 in September.

UP NEXT FOR THE ECONO-MOD MANIA TOUR

Catch them at Sharon Speedway on Friday, Aug. 23.
